Review: Dragons of a Vanished Moon by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman

5 out of 5

All of the major characters rush head long toward the conclusion in this the final installment of The War of the Souls series. Everyone’s favorite kender, Taz bounces around time with the help of a surprise character, leading to the convergence of each plot line. Takhisis, no longer the unseen One God,  comes into her own as character and Mina suffers for it. Nations fall, dragons are found and many of all races die before the end. The climax is fraught with sacrifice and in the end those left must pick up the pieces and move on because there is no going back.   I applaud the authors for not taking easy ways out and creating a satisfactory, if dark,  conclusion to not only this series but the first series Dragonlance.
